Who we are:
My name is Ferris. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with many supportive clients from the start, which was about 10 years ago, when I created this business called “Avail Cinematix”. My path into this work began in high school when I won a statewide contest organized by Apple. The challenge was to pitch the best reason for my school to receive new iPads, and my video was selected as the winner. This achievement granted Leland Public Schools $50,000 worth of new iPads, sparking my interest for using this medium to make something useful and practical outside of pure enjoyment.
This early success fueled my drive to pursue film production more seriously, eventually leading to an exciting accomplishment: collaborating on a feature film that was accepted to the Sundance Film Festival in 2023 from over 16k applicants. Being helpful for a project that reached such a prestigious platform in the industry was a experience, influencing my direction further.
Following this milestone, I had the privilege of collaborating with renowned artists, including Sonya Clark, in conjunction with the Cranbrook Art Museum and other projects with the museum. These diverse experiences have influenced my approach, where I blend artistry with practical functionality to create results.
The name “Avail Cinematix” was created by my father with a specific purpose in mind. For me, “Avail” represents my commitment to making myself and all I can offer available to help others. It’s about bringing everything I have—my skills, creativity, and enthusiasm—to every project, ensuring that I am fully invested in bringing your vision to life. At Avail Cinematix, our aim is to be a resource, a partner, and a creative that helps you improve the way you do business.
